Zoom, Zoom, Zoom!
Sounds like a car commercial, doesn't it? That is actually the sound of our lives moving at breakneck speed. Life doesn't slow down for anyone. We have cell phones, e-mail, websites (like this one!), and brief exchanges with neighbors that make us think we are keeping up, but we still yearn for something more. How can our church help minister to Christians in a way that helps them slow down and experience true connection with other Christians? Small Groups is our answer.
The bottom line is: we need each other. Though groups can meet for a variety of reasons and at different times, the primary goal of such gatherings is a deeper connection in Christ. We intend for them to promote trust and listening and compassion among fellow believers.
"As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)
Different Types of Small Groups
With relationship as the ultimate goal, we have groups that relate and connect in different ways. Below, we have listed our various Small Groups and given a brief description of each.
A Cappella Chorus

For whom: All ages
About: Do you like to sing? Do you like to praise the Lord in song. This group will offer opportunities for those gifted with the ability to sing and read printed music to get together to learn new songs with which to praise the Lord.
Bookworm Reading Circle

About: This group is for the adventurer in us all! We will visit local

About: Bob is a student of the Word and always has a lot to share with his group members. The group members also spend time talking with each other about special biblical topics of importance to them. Please join us.
Men's Prayer Breakfast

For whom: Men only
About: Are you a man? Do you pray? Do you eat breakfast? Well,
while breakfast is optional for this group, being a man who prays is not.
We meet to talk about men stuff and pray for each other. Just show up. No need to call ahead.
Youth Group

For whom: Middle and high schoolers
About: While all Youth Group members are invited to participate in
other Small Groups, we really want all our youth to be involved in this
weekly group where we'll spend time developing meaningful
relationships with one another and creating an atmosphere of true
community in our Youth Group.
