Student Ministry Team

Mission Statement:

• To serve the Gallatin Church of Christ by using our gifts and abilities to reach the students of this church and community with the love of Christ, to grow them into mature disciples, and to equip them for service in the kingdom of God.

Theme Verse:

• "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches." (Mt 13:31-32)

Purpose:

• To support and assist our Associate Minister in overseeing all aspects of our church's Student Ministry, which serves students from kindergarten through college-age.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Support the Associate Minister through planning, chaperoning, and offering other helpful or necessary assistance
• Build positive, trusting relationships with our students
• Plan, develop, and administrate our annual Vacation Bible School, in coordination with our Education Team
• Cultivate one's own spiritual gifts, and help the students develop their gifts, which God can and will use for His kingdom
• Oversee and assist our Kids For Christ (KFC) program
• Propose and observe an annual budget for the Student Ministry
