Theme Verse:

• Romans 10:13-15 -- "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?" (NKJV)

Purpose:

• To oversee all foreign and domestic mission points and missionaries supported by our church, as well as to provide occasional missionary and/or mission support to other needs as they arise.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain communication with the mission points/missionaries that are supported by the church.
• Inform the congregation of the status and needs of each of these mission points.
• Assist in raising funds as needed for special needs.
• Oversee the Mayberry Mission Fund (donations, expenditures, and investments).
• Analyze requests received for assistance and determine the extent to which assistance (monetary or otherwise) will be provided.
• Maintain the "Missions" bulletin board.
• Plan and promote mission trips and assist others in doing likewise.
• Attend special mission functions such as banquets that occur in our area.
• Plan and make appropriate arrangements for sponsored missionaries to visit and report to the church.
• Provide appropriate acknowledgments of donations received.
