Assembly Times

We gather at various times for various reasons, but our gatherings always strive toward praising God, learning and being challenged to follow Jesus more faithfully, encouraging one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, and organizing efforts to share Jesus with our community.

To help build genuine, more meaningful relationships in the midst of a scattered, fast-paced culture, we sometimes gather as Small Groups. The different Groups vary in meeting time and location, but they all seek to build deeper relationships by allowing Christians to find common ground with each other and to use that common ground as a basis for trusting relationship. While not everyone meets in a Small Group, we all agree on the importance, value, and necessity of such trusting relationships, especially in a culture where our trust has been violated so often. We need to be together.

General Information About Our Church

This church is an independent, nondenominational fellowship of believers baptized in the name of Jesus, saved by the grace of God. Our history stems from the Stone-Campbell Restoration-Unity Movement, out of which have come the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Independent Christian Churches, and Churches of Christ.

Our church openly fellowships and cooperates with other churches. However, since we are independent and operate autonomously from any other church or governing body, we do not necessarily uphold beliefs taught by other churches, including other "Churches of Christ."

We have no other authority for decisions than the Bible and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We steadfastly refuse to make a "test of Christian fellowship" beyond faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and a commitment to follow Him faithfully, being transformed into His image.

We acknolwedge that people do interpret the same Bible in different ways, evidenced by the numerous denominations existing today. Thus, while we encourage individuals to read the Bible on their own, we also uphold the importance of the church discerning the most appropriate, Christ-centered interpretation as a community guided by the Holy Spirit.

Elders/Shepherds of Our Church

Elders are men called by God, ordained by the Holy Spirit, and recognized by our church to serve us as our spiritual "Shepherds." Our Elders are called upon to care for, encourage, pray for, serve, lead, guide, watch, rebuke, and direct the affairs of this church. We are currently served by three Shepherds:

  • John Cox
  • David Holder
  • Jim Schreiner

Ministers

Professional Ministers provide service, care, leadership, and motivation for the church in cooperation with the Shepherds. Meet our ministers here.
